The refreshed Kia Rio is designed to outrun expectations. Combining fuel saving efficiency with a constant reserve of power, its handling around town is smooth and agile. Boasting both 1.4 MPI and 1.2 MPI engine options, choose between 6-speed automatic transmission and 6 or 5-speed manual transmission.

The new Rio exterior is defined by straight lines and smooth surfaces giving the car a more distinctive look and more mature character than its predecessor. The Rio wears the latest evolution of Kias tiger nose grille now thinner but wider with a gloss black grille mesh. The grille is integrated with the newly designed headlamps and is more sculpted for a sharper look. From the side, the new Rio achieves a more balanced stance thanks to its longer bonnet and front overhang, longer wheel base and shorter rear overhang.
Exterior Features
An available power sunroof adds an open-air feeling to the already roomy cabin of
the Rio.
A sporty new grille design employs a smooth black insert that visually connects the light assemblies.
High and low beams are integrated into the same lighting element, which is tastefully mounted within the clear protective housing.
The outside mirrors can be folded and unfolded conveniently with the push of a button.
A rear spoiler improves the air vortex around the C-pillar for enhanced aerodynamics and downforce on the rear tires.

With 51% AHSS (advanced high strength steel) for phenomenal body rigidity, 8 zones with hot-stamped components in core stress areas and 97m of structural adhesive, the Rio features intelligent active safety technologies and substantial passive safety enhancements.
Protection includes front air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger, two air bags at the sides, and two curtain airbags running the length of the cabin.
For utmost confidence and peace of mind when maneuvering into and out of tight parking spaces, PDW uses ultrasonic sensors mounted on the rear bumpers to warn you of any nearby obstacles.
Rear View Monitor with Parking Guidance gives you a live view of what's behind you. Lines superimposed on the image help you know how much space you have.
Don’t leave anyone in the rear seats when you park. Rear Occupant Alert tracks door-latch use, and reminds you with a message in the cluster.
